Good day everyone. I hope you all had a great weekend. Today I wanted to talk about frugality in homeschooling. Times are tough for a lot of people right now, and now is the time to be strategic in how we keep our homeschooling affordable. Things are getting expensive with inflation prices. So today I want to share some do-it-yourself laundry detergent that could last a year in your home. You can start by purchasing a 5lb container of whatever soap of your choosing. I use Dawn and sometimes Lavender Castile soap. I get smaller containers or bottles and dilute the soap with water, and add a small amount of borax and peroxide. If you want to add a nice smell to your detergent, you can add a small amount of essential oil like lemon oil or orange oil. The smell is so refreshing☺️. Depending on how often you do laundry, your homemade bottle can last about a month. You are cutting the cost of your laundry to nearly half (that’s if you go out to do laundry). The extra money left over you can use for something like crayons, construction paper, notebooks, etc. Homeschooling has taught me to be frugal in everything that we do. It also has helped me become a pro at doing laundry by hand. You can learn to save and it will benefit you in the future. This post is a little shorter today but I just wanted to share how you can save alot of money on your homeschooling journey. You can also write down your recipes in a book and then pass them down to your children in the future. Homeschooling is life schooling. It’s not just books and paper. They are learning how to care for themselves in tough situations. They are learning to wash clothes by hand and make oils. I hoped I have provoked thought in your minds today. Remember homeschooling is life schooling. Have a great day friends๐น
